Advocacy In Action
For the last 7 years, my focus has been on gun violence prevention. Initially, I served as a volunteer State Social Media Lead, and within a year, I was entrusted with managing and mentoring the social media leads of ten other states. By early 2020, I advanced to the role of National Social Media Leader, and just last year, I was honored with the title of National Social Media Coach.
This incredible journey has offered me invaluable insights into crafting messages for nonprofit organizations, fostering strong communities through Facebook groups and Slack, and engaging volunteers and supporters. Collaborating with nonprofit clients in Pennsylvania and North Carolina has highlighted the importance of recognizing each organization's unique voice and goals. I've learned that adaptability, including adjusting my hours based on the season and mission, is crucial. This adaptability is what makes me well-suited for
nonprofit and small business environments.
